EZGO Manufacturer Code Lookup: How To Find All the Info About Your EzGo Golf Cart

EZGO Manufacturer Code Lookup

Locating the serial number and manufacturer’s number is all you need to get every information you need about your Ezgo golf cart.

Note: The serial number is usually six or seven digits and does not indicate the model year.

The manufacturer’s number on the other hand reflects the model year.

The manufacturer’s number will have one letter and three or four numbers which includes two numbers indicating the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. The order of these numbers and one letter have changed several times over the years, but you should be able to figure it out.

Follow these steps to find all the info about your Ezgo golf cart:

Step 1: Locate the Manufacturer’s Code

It is located usually on a tag that also contains the serial number to determine the model of your Ezgo cart.

The location of your manufacturer’s code will tell you what model your Ezgo golf cart is.

If you locate it on the Rear Passenger Side Frame, it’s an E-Z-GO RXV (2008 & up).

If you locate it Below the Charger Receptacle, Passenger side glove box, and Cross member beneath the access panel. If  the last two serial numbers of your EZ-GO manufacturer’s code are “98”, you own a 1998 EZ-GO TXT– E-Z-GO TXT (1996 & up)

Inside the Passenger Side Glove Box: E-Z-GO Medalist (1994-1995).

Under the passenger side glove box: If the last two serial numbers of your EZ-GO manufacturer’s code are “92”, you own a 1992 EZ-GO Marathon – Marathon (1976-1993)

Under the driver-side seat on the frame – Pre-Marathon (1965-1975)

If the last two serial numbers of your EZ-GO manufacturer’s code are “92”, you own a 1992 EZ-GO Marathon.

The Ezgo RXV features a sticker located at the bottom of the steering column. A second sticker is installed underneath the front end.  You must get on the ground on the driver’s side of the vehicle and look through the top of the wheel well towards the frame.  The sticker is installed onto the central frame member

Step 2: Locate the Year of Your Model

On the tag containing letters and numbers that you find in the different locations listed above depending on your Ezgo golf cart, your manufacturer’s number will be the set of numbers with 3 or 4 digits and a letter. The longer set of 6 to 7 numbers is your cart’s serial number. They don’t tell you the year.

The last two numbers of the manufacturer’s code are the model year of your EZ-GO golf cart manufactured from 1979 & up. If it was manufactured from 1976-1978, it would be the first two numbers.

Now, you need to check the year of manufacture to complete your Ezgo Serial Number Lookup.
