Factors to Consider when Choosing the Best Snow Plow for Polaris Sportsman

Below are some factors to consider when choosing the best snow plow for Polaris sportsman:

1. Blade Size

The Blade size is one of the most important features of an ATV plow. The blades should be between 48” and 72 inches for a standard ATV. However, consider the area you need to plow. A larger blade removes snow more quickly than a smaller one. However, if you’ll need to plow a small driveway, ensure the blade isn’t very large that it’s unwieldy.

2. Blade Weight

ATVs are typically light vehicles, therefore, excessive weight can affect the overall balance. Large blades have more weight. You should choose a blade large enough to plow the space you want to and avoid excessively large blades.

3. Blade Composition

You also have to consider the materials used to make the blade. The 3 most popular materials used to design ATV snow plows are Stainless steel, Mild Steel, and Poly Blades.

4. Blade Attachment Ease

Blade attachment can be easy and sometimes complicated. It’s better to go for plows that can easily be installed and detached. Also, kits that mount behind the wheels are great for balanced weight and distribution.
